LVMH’s Bernard Arnault Urges EU to Concede in Trade Talks with Trump
Bernard Arnault, CEO of luxury conglomerate LVMH, has called on European leaders to make concessions in trade negotiations with the U.S. during a French parliamentary hearing. The billionaire executive warned that European jobs and industries face significant risks due to Washington’s tariff policies.
Arnault, whose company holds a market capitalization of €243 billion, described the current state of negotiations as precarious. "So far, things seem to me to be off to a relatively bad start," he said. "For now, I am under the impression it’s not going well."
The luxury magnate emphasized the need for diplomatic alignment with the U.S., arguing that a favorable trade deal could safeguard European economic interests.
